General Chit-Chat

I`ve nothing of any real merit to write about at the moment but as I haven`t posted in a while I thought I`d do a general post.

I haven`t played many tourneys in the last few days just a couple of K9 buy-ins neither of which I did particularly well in. The first was at 3D poker and I played pretty well. It`s a nice looking site but it has 8 minute levels and a horrible blinds structure that turned it into an all-in or fold fest by the time we were down to seven or eight players. It`s certainly the last time I`ll play a buy-in there unless they change it. I like more `bang for my buck`.

I`ve been playing a lot on the Beta site and I`ve been very succesful on almost all the new games. I`m not sure how much of that is down to the fact that the other players aren`t familiar with the games either. However I`m very happy with my abilities at the lowball games, maybe Hold `Em isn`t my best game. Certainly when the software is officially released I`ll be looking at playing more tourneys and cash games on the new games.

Incidentally I was looking for a buy-in the other morning and spotted a 7 card stud hi/lo freeroll on Vegas 24/7 poker. This was the one game I hadn`t got on with when I tested it but I thought what the hell I`ll give it a go. There were 2,000 runners and I managed to finish a very respectable 27th, nine places short of the money which was disappointing but a great result considering it was only my second time playing the game. I had a very basic strategy that seemed to work pretty well overall.
