Poker.com Version 4.0

I had a nice surprise the other day, an e-mail from Poker.com asking me to participate in the Beta testing of the new site. Well obviously that`s not something I`m going to turn down, especially as they very generously offered a chunk of comp points to those who satisfy the requirements set out. Actually I would have done it for nothing but I`m very happy to take what`s offered.

I`ve just been on the Beta site and I have to say I`m mightily impressed. Past upgrades have changed graphics and and other odds and ends. This upgrade has a few changes in that area, most noticeably in the lobby, which has changed to incorporate the new games, and in the smilies. However the bulk of this upgrade is in the new games offered. And boy have they excelled themselves in this department. The range of choice is phenomenal, Omaha Hi/Lo, 5 Card Draw, Triple draw, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, Razz,5 Card Stud, Badugi. I`ve never played quite a few of these games before but I think I could get to like Triple Draw and surprisingly Badugi.

I`ve watched Poker.com`s player base rise over the last few months since several sites closed their doors to US players. This new selection of games can only help numbers improve still further and act to keep existing players on Poker.coms tables.

That`s all for now, if you aren`t one of the testers you`ll just have to wait until January to try out the new games. I`m off to see what else I can play . . .
