Paging The Blog Doctor

I haven`t posted for a while, partly because I haven`t really had too much that`s worth writing about. And partly because I`ve been busy helping a few of my friends out with their blogs. The irony is that I`m no expert on HTML or using the Beta template (I still use the original template for now) but I`ve been able to solve most of the problems that have come up. It can be pretty difficult trying to communicate concepts I only half understand myself via MSN or forum posts but it`s well worth the effort when I visit the blogs and see the results, or come across a thank you post in a forum.

On the subject of the full Beta version, I have a test blog set up and I`ve been playing around with it trying to decide wether I want to change over here or not. There are some great features and modifying your blog is definitely easier with the drag and drop options.

I also found a hack that allows you to make peekaboo posts (Hackosphere). Despite some reservations on doing such heavy HTML work, and re-assured that the worst I could do was destroy a test blog I followed the instructions and wonder of wonders actually made it work!

Anyway I still haven`t made up my mind yet. I`ve been looking for a new template to use. I found a fair few but nothing that really suits my blog. My title doesn`t lend itself easily to any theme I guess. I`ve even been looking at the possibility of designing one myself. I found a few Freeware design programs yesterday but I haven`t downloaded any of them yet, maybe someone can recommend one.

That`s pretty much all for now, I`ve a few ideas for some articles that I want to do in the new year, and some personal news that I may post later today. I should be back tomorrow with some coverage of the BPT Final.
